world of hurt

Yesterday, my family and I received horrible news.
My brother's best friend, the love of his life, took his life.
I would never wish this life on anyone, especially any of my family members.

My brother is absolutely heart broken and distraught.
We were all taken by surprise.
And it's really hard to even believe.

My brother's boyfriend was like a little brother to me.
I loved him so much.
He made my brother happy.

We will never understand why this happened.
But it is just a reminder that life is so short
and so precious
and to tell those who matter most how much you love them.

You will always be loved and missed

Due to the sensitive nature of the situation, please only send prayers and words of encouragement. We are all hurting very much.

  11. oh wow that is so horrible. I can imagine what your brother is going through. Suicide is such a horrible thing and the remaining people wonder what/if they could have done anything to prevent it. My uncle commited suicide a few years ago and his teenage daughter found him.

  12. This is my first time stopping by your blog and I've been so touched to read about your story. I cannot imagine the challenges and pain you've faced over the past few years with losing your husband - especially after surviving two deployments. I think you are a remarkable woman for getting out of bed each morning and continuing to carry on and honoring the love you had for your husband.

I'm also so sorry to hear about your brother's loss. I recently had a close friend take their own life and it's such a difficult thing to try and understand. The loss seems amplified because you cannot understand why they would do it.

Hoping you and your brother find peace in this difficult time!
